Help Launch Vermont’s First Electric Food Delivery Truck

Drive Sustainability. Deliver Local. Empower Communities.

We’re embarking on an exciting transition, one that places sustainability at the heart of local food distribution. With your support, we will launch Vermont’s first electric delivery truck dedicated to transporting fresh, local food to rural communities across the state.

Why This Matters

Smarter Delivery
We’re purchasing a 20-foot Freightliner electric box truck capable of hauling 10 pallets of food—more efficiently and at a lower cost than diesel alternatives.

Cleaner Air, Healthier Communities
By retiring our oldest diesel truck, a 2009 Freightliner, and switching to electric, we’ll significantly reduce carbon emissions and air pollutants—especially at schools, hospitals, and retail stops.

Lower Costs = Stronger Impact
Electric delivery means savings of $1 per mile—over $15,000 annually—money that goes back into strengthening food access, not paying for fuel.

A Model for Change
This initiative sets a precedent for sustainable food distribution in Vermont and beyond. It’s more than just a truck—it’s a statement.

The Road to Funding

We’ve secured a Volkswagen Mitigation Trust grant through the State of Vermont that covers 75% of the truck and charger installation. But we need your help to bridge the final gap.

We’re raising $126,835 to complete the project.
